Intel Launches its Intel's Core i7-980X
Submitted by Justin Sorkin on Thu, 03/11/2010 - 13:22Intel today unveiled its newest Extreme Edition processor, the Intel Core i7-980X Extreme Edition, replacing Core i7-975 as the top-of-the-line Intel processor.
The Core i7-980X Extreme Edition, codenamed as Gulftown is Intel's first six-core processor for consumers, targeting mainly gamers and well-heeled multimedia professionals.
Intel, Newegg Inspect Sale of Counterfeit Processors

At first, Newegg said that it was a shipping mistake since there were some orders asking for demo boxes instead of functional units.

Nokia, the world's top cell phone maker said that it will merge its Linux Maemo software platform, used in its flagship N900 phone, with Intel's Moblin, also a version of Linux.
