Initially thought to be coming under brand name of Motorola, i890 device has been reported to be coming under Sprint Nextel.

i890 is a phone with an external display of 1.8 inch 65,000 color. The internal display of the device is 2.2 inch QVG.

On Tuesday, Motorola Inc. said that it has struck a deal with Microsoft Corp.

According to the deal, the software maker will provide search and map functions on Motorola's new smart phones.

Motorola Inc. announced that it would split into two publicly traded companies by the first quarter of next year, outlining the company's latest attempt to reinvigorate its disparate businesses.

As per the plan, the two companies would each account for roughly 50%of Motorola's current sales, which were reported as $22 billion last year.
