With Google launching the preview mode of its communication and collaboration platform, Wave, to nearly 100,000 users on Wednesday, the new online tool from Google has attracted the interest of a number of developers – including biggies like SAP Research and salesforce.com.

Salesforce. com's customer-service platform, Service Cloud - which already helps clients keep checks on Facebook, Blogger, and Web forums - will soon be integrated with the popular messaging service Twitter.

The San Francisco, California based vendor of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions - Salesforce. com today announced that it is preparing to integrate its Service Cloud customer-service platform with the popular social networking and micro-blogging service, Twitter.

During the period of recession, when most of the companies are reporting deficit, Salesforce. com has reported nearly double fourth quarter net income. The company has been able to achieve decent numbers due to higher demand for its online business applications. This has sent the company's shares up 5 percent in extended trade.

Salesforce.com, which styles itself the enterprise cloud computing company, has expanded its global strategic alliance with Google Monday, connecting its Force.com development platform with Google’s App Engine.
