Flash memory card makers SanDisk Corp., and Seagate have started shipping their largest ever storage SD cards and SATA drives respectively.

The $863.9 million fourth quarter revenue of flash memory card maker SanDisk Corp, though plunged 31 percent from the previous year, exceeded the Wall Street expectations of $766.8 million.

SanDisk releases music player with slotRadio card

A portable digital music system was unveiled by SanDisk on Wednesday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new Sansa MP3 music player – to compete with Apple’s iPod – is based on memory cards preloaded with songs, and is a companion line of slotRadio music cards.
