"We do not have evidence that encrypted credit card numbers or personally identifying information were taken by the intruders, or that the protection on credit card numbers or passwords was cracked”, said the head of online gaming giant Valve, Gabe Newell, while warning users that some hackers have spoiled its Steam forums on Sunday night.
Valve Software's first presentation at E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is reported to have been stopped, being replaced by what is being called as "surprise."
Valve, owner of the PC and Mac game distribution network Steam and the manufacturer and publisher behind the Half-Life and Left 4 Dead series, had its June 14 presentation at its E3 stage debut.
It was recently seen that Valve called for ps3. A request was sent by the Managing Director of Valve, Gabe Newell to Sony concerning PS3. It was claimed by the executive of valve that the Company in Japan opened up its technology which was for the sake of Sony as the Companies worked for the PS3 platform.
Valve has been very quiet about the sequel to its much popular title Portal, to be released as Portal 2. Except for an official confirmation that the game is in the works, there have been no other details from the company's end, but various sources have been giving out information, and even more details about the title have emerged.
Titles for the Mac are a dismal representation of what's going on in gaming.
Doug Lombardi, Valve's VP of developer marketing, confirmed the company's plan to port some of its most popular games to the Mac. The two turrets from Portal and Team Fortress 2 are supposedly two of the first games to be ported.
