It has been reported that Nikon had announced new compact cameras with point and shoot features in various ranges from $129.95 to about $399.95. Of the seven different cameras, the most outlandish features belong to the COOLPIX 1000pj camera from Nikon with the most interesting feature being the projector. What was more interesting was the fact that it did not have the HD video capture, or even fast shooting speed.
The COOLPIX S6000 was pointed out to be the fastest in the lot and the start up is in a mere 0.75 seconds and it has a shutter lag of about 0.3 seconds and the estimated price of the S6000 was quoted at $249.95.
The feature that stunned everybody the most was the stunning LCD screen on the COOLPIX S8000 as this camera packs about 921,000 dots while other such cameras only pack a mere 230,000 dots. It has a thickness of only 27.3 mm and it is very easy to carry around and slips quite effortlessly into even the front pocket of your jeans without hindering like other bulky cameras. All in all, a good range at affordable prices has been introduced to awe others from Nikon.
