Switch to Therapy to Evade Sex Addiction
Tiger Woods

Sex addiction has been making headlines after the Tiger Woods episode.

Woods had extended a public apology for all his infidelities leading to a chaos in his personal as well as his professional life.

The renowned golfer has been in treatment since December and plans to continue his on-site therapy.

It often triggers curiosity about what actually happens during the sex addiction therapy and what people do during these sessions.

There are many addiction programs found across the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. It is up to the individual's needs to take one-on-one counseling, group therapy or even on-site treatment.

Therapists find that many times sex addiction goes hand in hand with other addictions, like alcoholism.

Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, Dan Rowlands said it is all about getting to the root of the problem.

Many times, sex addicts surf online for porn sites any time during the day or even at work. Some even resort to seeking sex in public places.

According to the National Association of Sexual Addiction, one in 17 people have sex addiction problems. There are three men to every one woman in treatment, and gender makes a difference.

Therapists said women are more "love" addicts.
