With a new invention over a million people suffering from migraine can actually nip their headaches while still in the bud, all thanks to a new magnetic "pain-zapper".
Sporting the size and weight of a hair-dryer, the device is held against the back of the head, as soon as first signs of a migraine appear.
At the push of a button, the zapper sends out two quick bursts of electricity, which end up short circuiting the "electric storm" which erupts in the brain and causes the splitting pain during migraine, in addition to flashing lights and blurred vision.
Many of the sufferers of migraine reported relief from pain within two hours of using the device.
With medicines for migraine not effective or a suitable option for everyone, the latest invention, which is small and light enough for home use, might offer fresh treatment hope to the various people who endure excruciating pain whenever they get an attack.
Currently, the pain-zapper is being assessed for sales across Britain, and is expected to cost some 1,000 Pounds.
