More cloud computing services by Savvis are expected to rope in more customers for its other services, as the company improves its Asia-Pacific data center. According to this announcement made at an interview with CTO Bryan Doerr on Wednesday, this expansion of cloud facility will aid the company’s data center for making available flexible computing resources on monthly basis which earlier were available according to fixed set of hardware settled on annual contract basis.
Accepting that the introduction was a delay as compared to others in the market, Doerr explained that the company has no intentions of racing with what the "mass market" provides but it aims for a stable stand in business from its market’s “enterprise-targeted position”.
Bryan Doerr said, "We think the cloud will be an onramp for customers to a complete outsourcing relationship with Savvis cloud product meets the buying temperament of the enterprise. We think it is well-timed. Customers want a service provider who is able to do more than just provide cloud services".
The company will also be equipping customers with detailed and thorough “customization options” and “security and service level agreements SLA”.
