"No Smoking Day" provides a platform for smoker to get rid of this addiction under the UK's health campaign on 10th March. This voluntary initiative is for smokers who want to quit with the help of friends and family. The campaign is in its 27th year with the theme "break free" this time, and it witnesses almost 1 million people who quit smoking.
Chief Executive of "No Smoking Day", Dan Tickle elaborated by saying the theme is designed according to the smokers. He shared that this time for the theme, the issue that concreted was that many of the smokers who tried to quit were unable to do so, and hence they started feeling depressed. Mr. Tickle also said that this year showed a "motivational positive campaign"
The first official NHS Quit Smoking application for the iPhone and iPod Touch was declared by Department of Health, corresponding to the No Smoking day, which offers tips and suggestions for quitting smoking along with keeping an account of the amount of cash saved because of it.
