Uncharted 2: Among Thieves stole the show at the Game Developers Conference, in San Francisco on Thursday, walking away with five trophies, including the coveted Game of the Year.

Apart from claiming the biggest title of the evening, Uncharted 2 picked up awards for best writing, best audio, best technology and best visual art.

The 10th annual Game Developers Choice Awards was hosted by Warren Spector, who is the Lead Designer of Deus Ex and Epic Mickey. The debut of a teaser trailer from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which is the third installment of the game franchise, commenced the show.

It is not the first time Uncharted 2 has won accolades. It grabbed three prizes previously at the Spike TV Video Game Awards in December 2009, also winning the game of the year there as well.

Art Director Robh Ruppel said, "It's one thing to have an idea, but you really need a great crew to make a game".

Other winners at the Conference included Rocksteady Studios' Batman: Arkham Asylum for Best Game Design, 5th Cell's Scribblenauts for Best Handheld Game and Innovation, thatgamecompany's Flower for Best Downloadable Game and Runic Games' Torchlight for Best Debut Game.
