Apple loves featuring eminent personalities like Britney Spears and world renowned brands like Coca-Cola on the App Store's front page. Brands have been increasing day in and day out on the App Store but which brand is succeeding and which ones tend to maintain high download numbers is still a debatable question.
An application named, “PositionApp”, designed by UK design firm Ustwo, lets users track the status of the iPhone apps on the App Store rankings. They are able to track as well as record the top 300 apps across all geographies and can offer the information regarding the top 15 apps in the US App Store.
PositionApps will be providing the ranks based on data collected for the particular app for the past 6 months. It will launch an application which makes it easy to see the data, in graphs or numbers, about the apps that has been successful for the past 6 months and will reveal their ranking too. Though, it would have been priced at $7, but Google is technically sponsoring the app, so that it is available for free for the next two months.
It has a feature of country to country tracking so that the performance of the apps (especially the favorite ones) in different markets can be seen.
