It has been reported that Bruce Jones, the Coronation Street star, has pleaded guilty for drunk - driving and also for dangerous driving. The actor had played the role of Les Battersby for more than 10 years in that soap and the fact was that he had taken control, practically grabbed the steering wheel from Sandra, his wife and also tried to crash at a very high speed onto a busy road.
It was also made clear that they were driving a Mercedes M Class car.
The actor finally owned up and admitted to all the charges right after his jury for the trial was discharged. He was drunk and he was also in the passenger street and when he got angry, he made the car swerve dangerously on the road by jerking the car and also grabbing the steering wheel.
They escaped without any other problems after his wife somehow managed to subdue him and steadied the car. She also managed to stop the car in the nearest pub and it was also reported that the actor was also charged a case of common assault as he grabbed his wife's wrist as she got out of the car.
