Mobile Banking Application for BlackBerry and iPhone

ING Direct is the first Canadian bank which offers new mobile banking application for Blackberry and Apple iPhone.

According to ING Direct Canada President and Chief Executive Peter Aceto, all the Canadians love their mobile devices and can download this application for free. With the help of this application, the ING customers can check their balances, review transactions, transfer funds, locate ABMs and find the nearest ING Direct Save Your Money Cafes.

In 2009, Scotiabank partnered with Atlanta-based MCom, an international mobile payments solution provider to bring full mobile banking service, while others are working on the same projects and are planning to get similar applications in the market next year.

The new application on Blackberry and iPhone also talks about savings on Twitter.

ING Direct had also launched a twitter.

In Canada, around 20% of the people are planning to start with mobile banking, from where they can pay their bills, whereas 9% of the Canadians already have mobile banking accounts.

ABI Research shows that consumers would spend $119 by 2015 through mobile banking.
