Couple Arrested for Filling Jell-O Pudding Mix with Sand

A husband and wife were arrested on Sunday because they were found filling packages of Jell-O pudding mix with sand.

The police have identified the couples as Alexander Clement, who is 68 years old, and Christine Clement, who is 64 years old. According to the police, the couple has been charged with multiple counts of petit larceny and tampering with the consumer products.

The police said that to get the pudding mix for free, the couples bought the boxes from four long island stores, removed the contents and filled them up with a mix of salt and sand. These packets were later returned to the stores for a refund.

After the packets were returned to the stores, these packets were put back on the shelf for sale. The customers who bought these packets found different ingredients in the packets.

The markets, from where these packets were bought, were located in Brookhaven, Smithtown, Huntington and Woodbury.

After the police watched the surveillance videos and followed the leads, they got to know who the culprits were and therefore arrested the couples.
