Nasdaq-listed Acacia Research Corporation has reported that its subsidiary, Light Valve Solutions LLC, has entered into a settlement and license agreement with Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. covering a patent portfolio that relates to light valve systems.
This latest agreement resolves patent litigation that was pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Recently, Acacia Research Corporation unit, Acacia Patent Acquisition has acquired the rights to a patent relating to wireless data technology.
Acacia Research Corporation, through its subsidiaries, acquires, develops, licenses, and enforces patented technologies in the United States. The company owns or controls the rights to 100 patent portfolios, which include primarily the United State’s patents, covering technologies used in various industries.
At 9:45 am (EST), California-based Acacia Research Corp was quoting at $2.71, up 7% compared to previous close of $2.53.
