YMCA to Organize Healthy Kids’ Day on April 17

The largest health day for kids and families will be organized by Merrimack Valley YMCA on April 17, 2010. This event termed as YMCA Healthy Kids' Day is being organized as a part of the drive making parents and kids more aware of the benefits of being healthy and making them more active.

This will be a fun-filled event including creative activities that will focus on encouraging healthy living, the function is free of cost for public.

It was informed that for the YMCA Healthy Kids' Day which will be organized at the Merrimack Valley, the regional and local YMCA branches will be providing resources hat will in turn help in educating them regarding the ways of healthier living by adopting certain day-today choices. The activities that will be tailored into the event include many sessions.

The event will be held at the Methuen YMCA, on April 17, at 10 a. m. to 1 p. m., at North Andover YMCA at 1-4 p. m. and in the Lawrence YMCA from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m.

Director of Community Relations and Development, Elizabeth A. Covino stated that as workout and exercising are not very welcomed terms, fro enlightening people about the importance of healthy living, playing will be taken help of for persuading people to indulge into physical activities, which will teach them about "healthy habits that last a lifetime".
