It was seen lately that the Saskatchewan government has named his week, as Early Childhood Intervention Program Week. This name was given by the Government to appreciate the hard work that the program did for children and families.
It was seen that children and families in Saskatchewan were dependent on the program that was organized by 15 community based organizations. In the Early Childhood Intervention Program around 700 people and children took part.
It was noted that the money provided by the Ministry of Education had offered more than $3.7 million to the program. Minister Ken Krawetz said that this was important because the young people were the future of Saskatchewan.
According to Krawetz, Early Childhood Intervention Programs promoted smooth changeover for children and families. He also added that it ensured that throughout the province there was fair access to and consistent delivery of programs.
“Early Childhood Intervention Programs are very proud of the work we do and are very thankful for the valuable input we receive from the Ministry of Education. We believe that our children are the most valuable resource we have in this province and we need to continue to invest in and celebrate them”, said Debra MacDonald, Executive Director of Early Childhood Intervention Program of Regina.
