Iraqi Premier al-Maliki arrives in TehranTehran - Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki arrived in Tehran Saturday for talks with senior Iranian officials.

The Iraqi premier planned to meet with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to discuss the security pact signed last month between Iraq and the United States.

Officials said they will also talk about US policy in Iraq under the incoming administration of president-elect Barack Obama.

The two sides are also expected to discuss the latest situation in the Middle East and the Israeli raids on Gaza Strip. (dpa)
