Peter Gabriel Engaged Saving Valley where He first Made Debut

After hearing that Golden Valley Paddocks has started building an access road, mobile home, and agricultural sheds in the valley of Somerset, a beautiful valley, pop star Peter Gabriel flew to Los Angeles to attend a meeting in that regard.

Failing to gain attention while protesting against the agricultural development in the valley, the residents have now formed the Save Woolley Valley Action Group in order to fight the Cause.

''I lived in Woolley for seven or eight years and spent a total of 13 years in the Woolley Valley area. I lived in four different places and my daughters grew up and went to school there”, said Gabriel.

He cherished the memories further and shared that a sober sense of community was observed there, which is hard be found in the rest of the world.

Gabriel made his debut performance, composing the song Solsbury Hill, in 1977, in the valley.

Woolley Valley lies in the beneath Solsbury Hill. It is blessed with meandering lanes, and traditional Bath stone buildings. It was sold to Golden Valley Paddocks Ltd., in 2005, by ITV presenter Dimbleby.

The residents are trying to encourage the council to stop the illegal construction on the site.
