Health Research Funding Same as Last Year

Similar to the amount granted last year, Health researchers have been given about $82 Million in Government funding.

According to the CEO of the Health Research Council, the Governmental agency that oversees the funding in the health research, Robin Olds, five new research projects will be awarded $5 million each. The 67 proposed projects will look into the health problems related to strokes, Alzheimer's disease, vitamin D and healthcare impartiality.

It was also informed by Robins that one more study, that will be given funds, would find a new approach in cancer treatment. He added that researchers will work for developing new vaccines that will be used for combating cancers, especially melanoma.

Also, one million will be granted for an electronic cigarette trial, which will help patients quit smoking, as it is a prominent reason of illness and death.
