HTC Pushing Out Firmware Update for Hero
HTC Pushing Out Firmware Update for Hero

It has been informed by HTC that the users of HTC Hero will shortly be given Google’s Android 2.1 information over the air.

HTC said, "The over-the-air update will roll out across Europe starting from this week and will be flagged when the Hero next automatically checks for software updates”.

On the other hand, users of Hero are saying that the updates are previously available in their mobile phones but are not accessible. The updates from Android will enable the users to experience Google’s services and navigation.

They will also be having an easy access to the Google Maps.

A spokesperson from HTC also said that the people using their Hero will get a notice from the company on their mobile phones only. After getting the notification, the users will start receiving over the air updates.

The updates will be delivered in two fractions. First will provide updater software and the other one will provide updates about Android 2.1 firmware.

The updates can be downloaded via Wi-Fi.

Operators informed that the users of HTC Hero waited for quite a long time to avail this service.

HTC once declared that the updates will be released in April but then their release date was delayed. The company, however, did not give any comment about the delay.
