Nokia releases two versions of N79 Eco and Active

Nokia is releasing two versions of the Nokia N79- Nokia N79 Active and Nokia N79 Eco. Both the versions can be pre ordered directly from Nokia for £19 including VAT plus a minimum of £3.99 for postage and packaging.

Though both the phones have the same technical specifications, Active model has an additional feature that can monitor heart rate and transfer useful health information through Bluetooth using a Polar Bluetooth WearLink heart rate belt. The configurations of the phones include 2.4 inch LCD screen that can display 320x240 pixels, 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and 20x digital zoom, support for 3.5 G, WiFi and in-built GPS.

The phone has been specifically designed for people who want to exercise, or for sportspersons. The Nokia N79 is considered to be an updated version of Nokia 5500. Both the phones in the series will have three Xpress-on smart covers and one N-Gage game.

The company does not provide a charger with N79- Eco model. The company has introduced the policy as an effort to save energy and reduce waste.
