“Call of Duty: Blsck Ops”, the latest video game in the immensely popular ‘Call of Duty’ series, has shattered the earlier launch-day sales as well a five-day sales records, and is doing brisk business; with the multiplayer mode of the game being exceptionally addictive.
The typical first-shooter game, with probably the best story so far in the series, essentially takes ‘Call of Duty’ into new territory with the exception of both World War II and modern affair: the Cold War.
“Black Ops” is chiefly depicted as a fictional story in a real-world background; taking the gamers into a succession of some truly clandestine and special operations throughout the 1960s.
For a large part of the campaign, these operations include participation in the Bay of Pigs in Cuba and the Vietnam War as Alex Mason - a member of the once classified Special Observations Group -; though there are also some occasional sections which enable the players to control supporting characters like CIA agent Jason Hudson.
The game’s developer Treyarch has tried to make the single player mode of “Black Ops” interesting by incorporating sections like navigating a dark deserted ship in Russia, and a rat tunnel in Vietnam.
However, with a superlative multiplayer mode being the most attractive aspect of the ‘Call of Duty’ franchise, in recent history, “Black Ops” sustains the tradition; thereby making the game a much enhanced and fun experience for everyone!
