Steelers clinch an unsurpassed sixth Super Bowl title!

At Super Bowl XLIII, the Pittsburgh Steelers clinched an unsurpassed sixth Super Bowl title, defeating the Arizona Cardinals 27-23 on Sunday night at Raymond James Stadium.

The journey to their sixth title was not an easy one. The Steelers wasted a 13-point lead along the way, rallied in the concluding moments, and pulled the game out on Ben Roethlisberger's 6-yard scoring pass to game MVP Santonio Holmes - all that with barely 35 seconds to go!

Trailed 23-20 as they began their final march, the Steelers could not stop the Cardinals in the fourth quarter. However, the Cardinals, who forced Pittsburgh two times to kick short field goals, fell apart at the end as Holmes, despite three defenders around him, sealed the winning score.

With Steelers grabbing the title, the achievement was all the more noteworthy for the 36-year-old team coach, Mike Tomlin, who has become the youngest coach to win a Super Bowl, in his second season with the team. It was also the second Super Bowl triumph for Roethlisberger, a five-year veteran.

In fact, tradition, culture, and the anticipation of victory, all worked towards favoring the Steelers. They are undoubtedly a model franchise, which already had five Super Bowls under its belt. Spelling stability all through, the team has had three coaches since 1969, and all of them managed to get the team to the Super Bowl!
