Menopause and other symptoms are sometimes a gift for a women, these symptoms indicates that a women have a lower risk of getting a breast cancer. The more severe are the symptom among the individual the lower is the risk according to US researchers. This month they published a study, which states this theory.
You can read about the study, by researchers at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, Washington, in the February print issue of Cancer Epidemiology Biomarkers and Prevention, which was available online ahead of print early January.
"In particular we found that women who experienced more intense hot flushes - the kind that woke them up at night - had a particularly low risk of breast cancer." according to the researchers.
The women with these symptoms have almost 40 to 60 percent less risk of having a breast cancer. The researchers have linked a hormone oestrogen which is linked with progesterone is responsible for developing a breast cancer.
I another study at National Cancer Institute, around 1,437 women were studies with post menopause and out of them 988 has been diagnosed with breast cancer and the remaining 449 do not have a risk of cancer.
However, women should always look at the bright side and keep hoping that after their menopause they are less likely to get a breast cancer.
