What will Amazon unveil in today’s press conference?

There's a lot of dead reckoning and guess work, going on among the tech watchers, over the Amazon.com Inc.'s today's press conference, which will take place at the Morgan Library and Museum in New York.

The tech watchers are fervently guessing if Amazon will unveil its next generation kindle device at the press. Certainly, Kindle 2, the next generation electronic-book reader of Amazon is the main subject of speculations. Tech watchers say Amazon could launch Kindle 2 at today's press conference, as it held similar press conference when the original Kindle was launched.

According to analysts, the timing to launch Kindle 2 is perfect. Jim Friedland, an analyst at Cowen & Co. in New York, said, "It almost seems self-evident they're going to release the Kindle. It makes sense. The Kindle has been out of stock on Amazon since late November."

Furthermore, the tech watchers are also expecting some more information and some more announcements on Amazon's recently announced service to bring its kindle titles to several mobile phones. Since it announced to go mobile with its kindle titles, the company hasn't revealed whether it will bring all kindle titles to mobile phones or the selected ones and which mobile phones will be accessing the service.

Be patient guys; wait for the press conference, because only it will reveal what Amazon is cooking.
