Introducing The New ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Cast

Announcing the cast for the eighth cycle of its' popular show 'Dancing with the Stars' Sunday night, ABC dropped names of 13-stars who are scheduled to begin competing 9th March 9, including married couple Singer Jewel and rodeo champion Ty Murray, Shawn Johnson, one of the stars of the U. S. gymnastics team at the 2008 Olympics, a former NFL star - Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor and comedian David Alan Grier, the host of Comedy Central's 'Chocolate News'.

Previous married competitors included Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, other NFL stars to transition from the football field to the dance floor include Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Jason Taylor and Warren Sapp.

The full cast of 'Dancing With The Stars' scheduled to begin in a month's time, is as follows:

  1. Solo artist Belinda Carlisle, 50, who also has a music career with the Go-Go's.
  2. Comedian David Alan Grier, 53, famous for 'In Living Color', 'Chocolate News'.
  3. ' Nashville Star' host Jewel, married to fellow competitor Ty Murray and with a Grammy-nominated music career.
  4. Shawn Johnson, 17, who four medals (one gold, three silver) in gymnastics at the 2008 Olympics.
  5. Rapper / actress Lil Kim, 34, famous for her outrageous fashion choices, a Grammy-winning hip-hop career and who was jailed for 11-months on a 2005 federal perjury charge
  6. Gilles Marini, 33, from the 'Sex and the City' film, famous for making Samantha have impure thoughts.
  7. Rodeo Champion Ty Murray, married to fellow competitor Jewl and who won seven world all-around rodeo championships.
  8. 'Access Hollywood ' host Nancy O'Dell, 42.
  9. Denise Richards, 37, currently on E! reality show and known for 'Wild Things', 'The World Is Not Enough', including a rocky marriage to Charlie Sheen.
  10. Steve-O, 34, known to be 'Jackass' and placed on probation last year, after his admission to possessing cocaine
  11. Hall of Famer NFL Lawrence Taylor, 50, known for terrorizing quarterbacks and who in the 1990's pleaded guilty to income tax evasion and was also charged with possessing cocaine.
  12. Chuck Wicks, famous for country-music hit 'Stealing Cinderella' and dating 'dancing professional' - Julianne Hough.
  13. Steve Wozniak, 58, who co-founded Apple Computer.
