Madonna, A-Rod’s Coincidental Mexico City Visit

Madonna, Alex RodriguezMadonna was in Mexico City for her sold out 'Sticky & Sweet' gig at Foro Sol stadium Sunday night, but, what was Yankees star slugger - Alex Rodriguez doing in the city same day. Though, the two have not been seen out together in public, it does make one wonder whether it was sheer coincidence or coordinated scheduling that had them in the city at the same timed.

When asked if he was aware Madonna was also in the Mexican capital, A-Rod, who spent two hours Sunday running a hitting clinic at the new sports centre, Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim has built two baseball diamonds and 25-soccer fields on a landfill in a poor suburb for kids, responded with a short 'very good' without elaborating. However, the New York born Rodriguez did have more to say on the subject of kids and baseball, in Spanish: 'It's a pleasure to talk about baseball, to talk about the importance of keeping children off the streets, out of drugs and out of all the bad things that there are in this life.'

The $250-million worth, Yankees' baseball star who made headlines after divorcing Cynthia, his wife of 5-years in September, who holds the Material Girl, turned Kabbalah-poster girl responsible for the break-up of her marriage, denied the dalliance. However, the accusation that comes on top of swirling rumours that Madonna, who recently acquired a quickie divorce from husband of 10-years - Guy Ritchie, is dating the baseball star, means there's more to it than meets the eye.

Reportedly, Rodriguez, 33, sat front and centre at Miami's Dolphin Stadium to cheer Madonna, 50, at her 'Sticky & Sweet' concert tour, including spending Thanksgiving Day with the pop star at her Star Island mansion in Miami, though not before he had had a turkey dinner with daughters Natasha, 4, Ella, 7 and ex-wife.
