H5N1 to Grow More in 6 Countries Including India

Bird flu, the lethal disease, has claimed a huge number of lives across the globe, till now and followed by many health measures. Consequently, a report from the United Nation’s body, FAO, may afraid the natives of a few Asian countries, including India, that has revealed that the contagious avian flu virus, H5N1, which is the root cause of bird flu is still alive in these countries because of insanitary in their trade practices.

Further, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia and Vietnam were marked more likely to develop the virus and the flu indeed and eradication of the highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza virus from poultry in these countries can take approximately 10 or more years and will remain endemic.

The Health Minister, Mam Bun Heng, said: “Compared to last year, we have seen more H5N1 cases this year and children appear to be most vulnerable. I urge parents and guardians to keep children away from sick or dead poultry”.

The complex production and market chains are a few of the facts that make the virus growth feasible. In addition, lack of high hygiene standards in veterinary and animal production services is another reason. The virus attack was on the peak during 2006.
