During this event, Dean, Javaid Sheikh shared his thought which includes the future expansions and also future inclusions in the institution. He also shared his view about the 5 year strategic plan vision -2010- 2015.

“The focus is on diseases that affect a large percentage of the population in Qatar, principally diabetes, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Two integrated strategies are being used to achieve this goal: initiating specific research projects, and increasing research capacity and training”, he explained.

He also focused on the recruitment efforts made by the college and that from January onwards this year reputed clinics from across the globe will be coming for the placements.

Prestigious research faculties like Max Planck and Helmholtz Institutes in Germany as well as Weill Cornell in New York will be present for the recruitments.
