The research was conducted by Bolland together with his colleagues. The new findings have been published in the British Medical Journal and might soon have its effects seen on the recommendations made by the Doctors.

The study found that with the use of these supplements, the risk of myocardial infarction might get raised by a serious 30%. The reason behind this might be the fact that with the consumption of these supplements, the calcium levels in the body might increase suddenly. This might lead to hardening of the arteries of the heart.
