Yes, Amazon has fetched its Kindle to iPhone or iPod Touch! Amazon. com rolled out "Kindle for iPhone" late Tuesday night. "Kindle for iPhone" is an application that allows the iPhone or iPod Touch users to read Kindle e-books right on their devices. It is the first time Amazon has extended its Kindle's reach off its own e-book reader.
The users require an iPhone or iPod Touch with the iPhone/iPod Touch 2.1 software update installed for enjoying the wonders of "Kindle for iPhone," which can let users access all the Kindle e-books from Amazon's e-book library. The application can let the users download and store the ebooks on their iPhone or iPod touch devices for later reading.
The users just need to thei Amazon accounts to connect their iPhone or iPod touch devices to their Kindle accounts. Kindle for iPhone supports Whispersync which helps users switch over from Kindle to iPhone and back, without losing your place in the book.
Amazon, however, clarified that "Kindle for iPhone" only supports books, but not newspaper or magazine subscriptions. The users can't buy books directly from the application; the users will have to use Amazon's web site or the Kindle hardware to buy books directly. Secondly, Classics and Stanza ebooks do exist on the iPhone; Classics includes literary masterpieces, while Stanza includes 50,000 e-books.
Kindle for iPhone lets users download Kindle e-books right on their computers and then transfer them to their iPhone or iPod touch devices over WiFi. It allows the users to download the already purchased Kindle e-books to their iPhone or iPod touch devices for free. "Kindle for iPhone" is currently available for free download from the App Store.
