There is a possible scare of bird flu resurfacing in Asia. This is the reason there have been warnings issued by the health authorities of the world for the same. Malaysia, however, seems to be confident about the arrangements they have made for the combat against the disease and is not taking the current warnings seriously.

The recent warnings came from the UN Food and Agriculture Organization. It was revealed by Liow Tiong, the Health Minister, that they were enough vigilant about the developments of the country and were on the outlook for any sort of symptoms for the disease. He added that so far no cases of the same have been reported.

He was of the view that the government was well prepared for whatever could happen and that the people of the nation need not worry about anything.

He was of the view that this sort of warning by the Health Organization wasn’t unexpected and that there is no increased risk of H5N1 virus that they already see.

This virus usually spreads to humans through birds which are infected, but there might be a chance of human to human transmission as well.
