The online video site Hulu, celebrating its one-year launch anniversary on Thursday introduced some social networking features aiming to expand its user base.

Hulu's new social networking features allow the users to do things like add friends and recommend videos. The new features call users to get registered to Hulu Friends, and the site allows the registered users to view what is being watched in a social group, share videos and leave notes and comments on the selections made by other people.
According to reports, to help ease the process of adding friends, Hulu is working with Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, Facebook and MySpace. Once some issues are settles, Hulu will publicise its new service.
Hule brought in score-keeping function to allow users to monitor the activities of the connected people. It lets users to see recent activity and the number of movies rated.
So, Hulu now allows its users to watch out what a specific user has been doing on Hulu. It allows its users to post notes to users' pages, comment on activity, recommend movies or just say hello. Hulu is now the place where friends can share videos, TV shows and movies; Hulu users can also share videos with their friends on the sites such as Digg and Facebook.
