It seems that the Australian Nursing Federation would take its due course of time to settle the long running industrial action. There has been strong opposition for the same from Fair Work Australia, which has been trying its best to ensure that all best possible would be done to convince the nurses to resume their work.
However, the State Secretary of the Australian Nursing Federation, Lisa Fitzpatrick, is of the opinion that their concerns are genuine enough to be considered, and even the community is well aware of their demands. There are rising concerns that the extended industrial action could see medical care of millions of patients coming under risk.
Even it has been confirmed that he Fair Work Australia issued orders to reopen about 800 hospital beds that were closed by the nurses, but the orders have been turned down by the union. Even the Chief Executive of the Victorian Hospitals Industrial Association, Alec Djoneff, has expressed his share of concern over the deadlock between the nurses and the state government.
While the concerns raised by the Fair Work Australia have been ignored by and large, the nurses are told to be defiant at their stance. The nurses are of the opinion that the government is trying to dominate the nurses to accept their deal. As of now, the nurses are putting them under the risk of getting fined for over $6,000 each and even the union could be facing fines more than $30,000. With the nurse's union firm at their stance, there is dire need to find a way out before medical the health care system combats tough time.
There is consensus that negotiations must be started in fruitful manner, but it has been told by Lisa Fitzpatrick that the matter could not be resolved by sending barristers and senior counsel at the federation.
