Department of Health Confirms Dissolution of Obesity Panel

It seems like the Government panel is not that keen on endorsing Health Secretary Andrew Lansley's approach to "nudge" Britons to pay heed to healthy lifestyle. It was made public that the government panel would prefer approaching makers of food and drinks so that substantial results could be figured out. Even the Department of Health has made it clear that the panel which was made by health experts under Labor has been dissolved. There are confirmed reports that a new model would be proposed so that the required attention to the long running crisis can be pulled in.

There are confirmed reports that panel members are in the favor of the decision this time to seek support from the industry instead of lashing out at people to take care of their health. There is no denial that obesity has become a contentious issue for countries across the world, and that's why it has become so worrying for nations to take concrete measures to eradicate the concerns of obesity.

Even Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has been pressing on the issue of convincing the companies to take concrete steps to address the issue, rather than running behind people. Though experts do recommend the best for people, do actually their words are transformed into action is a huge question mark. The chef went on to saying that the Government's efforts are "worthless, regurgitated, patronizing rubbish".

The man behind the controversial NHS reforms has been center of controversy for quite a long time, and with the issue of obesity in front, there would hardly be any support for the minister in the time to come. "It is becoming clear that Andrew Lansley's number one priority is pleasing his friends in big business", said Diane Abbot, Shadow Public Health Minister, who if of the say that Britain has a huge task of killing obesity in front.
