Google introduces “Undo Send” feature to Gmail

You can now "undo" the sending of an email via Gmail at the last possible moment. Yes, the Gmail's new feature called "Undo Send," allows you to undo your email sending within five seconds.

The new feature from Gmail Labs - Undo Send is a smart feature. Using the "Undo Send," a Gmail you can abort the sending of any Gmail message just in time. Google has introduced the new feature to Gmail particularly to save users from sending erroneous emails or wrong emails.

Oftentimes you guys send emails to wrong persons, and many times you send erroneous emails containing incorrect words or content. Now, the 'Undo Send' offers you option to stop the sending of your email message within five seconds.

In the Thursday blog post, Michael Leggett, a Google user experience designer has written, "Turn on Undo Send in Gmail Labs under Settings, and you'll see a new "Undo" link on every sent mail confirmation. Click 'Undo,' and we'll grab the message before it's sent and take you right back to compose."

According to Google, the new "Undo Send" feature delays the transmission of an email for about five seconds that gives you the chance to recall it. It does not recall an email, it just delays an email. Once you click 'undo send,' your message gets saved in a draft, and you can continue editing it or leave it. To activate the new feature, you can go to Gmail Labs, find "Undo Send," and enable it.
