“The familiar "blue dot" icon indicates your location within several meters, and when you move up or down a level in a building with multiple floors, the interface will automatically update to display “, explained the search engine giant, Google, while briefing its recent launch.

Under the spell of the move, Google has decided to update all its Google Maps for Android applications in order to include maps of commercial establishments such as various airports and malls in US and Japan. Consequently, the Google Maps for Android version 6.0 is available from the Android Market in the form of an update for various devices running Android 2.1 or higher.

Sources have confirmed that the updates will enable the users to visualize the floor map of an airport as well as mall. After measuring the deviation, it is empowered to update itself automatically with shops and locations in close proximity.

In addition, Google specified that several establishments have assured to be a part of the features such as The Mall of America, Home Depot, IKEA and some Macy's stores. On the other hand, airports in San Francisco, Chicago and Atlanta have also announced to make their floor plans available on the application.
