With the increasing cases of type 2 diabetes in the US, it has become necessary for parents and kids to understand as to what Type 2 diabetes is and how it is caused? We often come to hear that about people being affected with diabetes and Type 2 diabetes. But, a few knows that type 2 diabetes is highly dangerous has it put threat to life of the patient.

These days, the cases of deadly Type 2 diabetes have increased manifolds. Two decades back, the disease was known to affect only adults but now, a large number of kids are reporting of being suffering from it.

The Type 2 diabetes affects a person gradually when the body begins to develop resistance to insulin. A report compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) highlights that youth, in the age groups of 10 to 19, with obesity had higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Their chances of developing the decease increases, significantly, if they have family history of the deceases.

Therefore, it is necessary for parents to keep a tab over the activities of their kids so that early signs of diabetes could be detected. A child is capable of developing Type 2 diabetes in short life span. Usually, it takes about a week for a child to develop Type 2 diabetes. Intense hunger, irritability, fatigue, blurry vision and rapid weight loss are some of the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.

It has been informed that both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes is deadlier. Usually, Type 1 diabetes is diagnosed in the initial periods of child. Type 1 diabetes is also knows as Juvenile-onset diabetes. In this type of diabetes the body's immune system attacks the pancreatic cells. As the pancreatic cells are attacked, the level of blood sugar rises and leads to diabetes.
