Book Sharing Heart Touching experience of organ Donors Released

A collection of heart touching stories of organ donation has been presented by a resident of Camden, Debbie Roberts, in a book “DonateLife Book of Life”. In the book, the author has tried to capture the agony of those who have to go through the painful process of organ donation and succumbs to death.

In the book, the author, Debbie Roberts has described the agony of her daughter, Rebecca, who succumbed to death ten years back because of heart attack. In the book it has been mentioned that Rebecca was only 20 when she had experienced heart attack in 2002.

She had been suffering from type 1 diabetes and hyperthyroidism. During an interview, Debbie Roberts shed light over the nature of Rebecca. She said, "She was a typical teenager who introduced me to grey hair at a young age. Despite her illnesses and struggles, she got on with life and drained every drop out of the short life she had”.

At the time of the launch of the book at the Camden Library, Debbie Roberts shared the life story of her daughter. Mayor, Greg Warren, thought the book to have potential of encouraging families about the need of discussing problems of organ donations.

It has been informed that before dying, the brave Rebecca donated two kidneys and two corneas to the patient who were in need of it. Debbie Roberts said that at the time of shortage of organ donors it has become necessary to encourage people to help someone live their life by donating their organs.

There are many who are waiting for getting their organs transplanted. There are also a few like Rebecca who have made the world proud by donating their organ to the needy ones before dying.
