In a recent report it has been revealed that a salon owner Miriam Lacey has planned to stop the use of one of hr tanning beds, before the govern finally bans them. This is in wake of the recent announcement of the fact that these tanning beds might be the reason for causing skin cancer, melanoma in people.

She owns ‘The Hair Shack’ salon situated in Tweed, and is of the view that nowadays it’s a complex procedure to get the necessary permissions for running a sun bed, that it’s just not worth. There are very few people coming as well. It has recently been announced by the environment minister, Robyn Parker, that by the year 2015, all the tanning beds shall receive a complete ban.

"Once upon a time you used to have to make an appointment, but now you walk right in, there's never anyone using them. There's so much publicity against using them now and so much book work and rules for us to have them”, she said.

It is essential that people understand the impending risk of cancer that hovers over them each time they go for this fake tan from the tanning beds.
