Federal Govt. Announces Free Condoms

Yet another agenda has taken place, which does not meet the interest of parents and the government. A federal government funded programmee has been initiated with the name of the Condom Access Project. It allows youth from 12 to 19 years of age to order condoms, lubricant and health brochure for free.

A pack of 10 condoms, lubricant and health brochure packed in yellow packet will be sent to youth’s given address. State health officials, who have been calling it a big win, told that the project will help them to reduce teenage pregnancies.

Teenagers, who are not able to afford condoms and those who are too shy to ask for it at the chemists shop can now get it and that also for free. However, it is not necessary that parents will take the step of the government in the similar positive stride. Parents can even take it as a permission to have teenage sex.

A nonprofit organization known as California Family Health Council is also supporting the campaign. In fact, they are the ones who have been promoting the scheme on their official website and teenagers can order the pack from their website as well.

Vice President of Public Affairs for the Family Health Council Amy Moy was of the view that they are well aware of the decision they have taken. Their only reason to introduce such scheme was to make sure that all teenagers should be safe.

Moy said that they hope that all parents will take the decision to be in a positive manner and want them to support them in their decision. The California Family Health Council told that they have assessed a lot many studies in regard to increasing teenage pregnancies and then only they have reached at the conclusion to take out such scheme.
