38-Year-Old Suffers Hair Loss, Insomnia Due to PIP Breast Implants

While so much has been said about the flawed Poly Implant Prothese (PIP) implants, its consequences are still being felt by many women. It was only after the revelation that PIP breast implants could cause health concerns in women that the issue caught the attention of one and all.

Though the government is doing the best in their capacity to address the issue, it was found that many women have suffered from serious results. Among the sufferers is a 38-year-old mother of two who has reported that she has lost her hairs and faced memory loss too after both of her breast implants ruptured.

Andrea Hayman, of Suffolk, was devastated to see her condition going worst day-by-day, she would never imagined that getting breast implants made by now debunk French company would make her pay so much. Though she managed to get the flawed products removed, the underlying concern remains the same. There are many women just like her who are combating such results, and the worst part is that there are not many options left to them besides to get the flawed implants removed in the first place.

It was in December 2006 when she got the implants. Though the breast implants were fine earlier, it was only last year that the breast implants looked really weird. The worst part is that the Harley Medical Group, from where she got the implants fitted gave her false assurance.

Considering the gravity of the situation, Mrs. Hayman has initiated a drive against the PIP implants whom she dubs as 'ticking time bombs'. “It's not worth the risk when it comes to these PIP implants. They are dangerous and women need to have them removed”, said the woman who regrets having the implants in the first place, and admits that there is a need to make women aware of the potential damages of administering such medical procedures.
