Google’s Ex-employee Goes Public

"The Google I was passionate about was a technology company that empowered its employees to innovate. The Google I left was an advertising company with a single corporate-mandated focus". The above statements have come from Mr. James Whittaker, who quit his job from Microsoft in the year 2009 to work for a much highly profiled software engineering job at one of the world's most popular websites Google but soon jumped his job to some another one.

Undoubtedly, Google is a company that almost tops the most desirable workplaces list then why did Mr. Whittaker recently jumped his work again and entered the California-based firm's rival team?

To explain his reasons of quit from his high level post in Google, he recently wrote a personal blog post and went public, with his writings where he explained that Facebook is topping the online social networking world with Google stumbling with its Buzz and Wave far down comparatively, he with a wish to conquer the today's most popular social network Facebook, took his decision of quitting.

In his post of Tuesday, the former Google executive showed a lament over Google's becoming obsessed with advertising and his efforts to seize the online social networking crown from the famous Facebook.

Referring in his statement to the co-founder of Google Mr. Larry Page, who eventually started serving the company as chief executive in the year 2011, he said "Larry Page himself assumed command to right this wrong".

He also talked in his post about all the efforts that had been put by the company and its employees initially to synch Google+ social networking with the help of company's famous services like search and online video venue YouTube.
