Microsoft Wants to Make It Big in the Market

It has been recently revealed that Thom Gruhler, who is the former global managing partner of telecom & technology at McCann Worldwide, will be joining Microsoft. As per reports, Gruhler will be joining as corporate vice president of Windows Phone Marketing.

The main reason for appointing Gruhler on the post was that he is having a lot of experience in the field of marketing. Microsoft expects that Windows Phone division will be able to create increased awareness among customers about their products and will be also able to increase the consumer base.

“Thom brings deep experience in the telecommunications industry, exceptional creativity and a proven track record of creating campaigns that connects with consumers”, said Terry Myerson, who is the corporate vice-president and head of Windows Phone division.

Myerson further affirmed that Gruhler has even handled the responsibility of being the president of McCann Erickson and has been the account director of McCann Worldgroup. There are lots of other posts which he has handled successfully.

Microsoft is making lots of efforts to make a name in the market. Myerson said that their biggest challenge is to establish their product in the market and raise awareness of the same among its consumers. Both the things will take time, but the initiation of the same has been done.
