Stand Up To the Wakeup Call for Life!

It has been recently revealed in a report how long sitting hours might tend to make a person weak and lethargic and might even take them one step closer to death. Alarming it may sound but it is true. The people who tend to have a sedentary lifestyle that includes long sitting hours are at a much higher risk of obesity.

This gives rise to the risk of a number of diseases, which might tend to lead people to a slow death. This was revealed in a study conducted by a team from the University of Sydney. It was revealed that there were 200, 000 people in the country involved I this study together with a larger analysis. There were factors such as weight, height, health status and the phy6sical activity of the person taken into account, while conducting this study.

It was found that those people, who have long sitting hours, are putting themselves to a greater risk of death.

This is what makes it essential for one and all to understand how they are risking their lives and they need to take this wakeup call before it is too late. Sitting or long hours needs to be avoided. Even at work, people should try to have short breaks in which they can stroll about for a while making movement and cutting down the risks.

Exercising well is extremely essential to cut down the disadvantages of sitting for long hours, and people need to sweat it out in the gym, if they want to be in the best of shape and health.

“That morning walk or trip to the gym is still necessary. But it’s also important to avoid prolonged sitting. Our results suggest the time people spend sitting at home, at work and in traffic should be reduced by standing or walking more”, revealed Hidde van der Ploeg, a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Sydney’s School of Public Health, the lead author of the study.
