According to sources, it has been revealed that when Microsoft launched its Kinect Software Development Kit (SDK), the software provided the developers with new dimensions that could be touched, felt, led them to a new world of innovation. The Kinect platform has helped the users involve in different fields of science, medicine and even teleconferencing.
The latest version of the Kinect will be provided with a Kinect studio, an all new application that will help record, playback and debug clips of users engaging with their apps.
It is also being expected that the company is thinking of adding up a seated or 10-joint skeletal system. This system will let apps track the head, neck, and arms of a Kinect user - whether they're sitting down or standing.
Craig Eisler, General Manager of Kinect for Windows said, “What is extra exciting to me about this functionality is that it will work in both default and near mode”. Eisler also confirmed that the software will even include four new languages for speech recognition - French, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. This pack will further help the users to gain more knowledge about how a language is spoken.
The new version of the Kinect for Windows 1.5 is subjected to hit the market by the end of May in 19 countries.
