In the recent years, there have been many men who have been doing the same, and it is not seen as a famine act of getting one's face fixed. In 2011, there were 9% surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures in the US conducted on men. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery this number has surged 121% since 1997. Although there just has been a marginal increase in the overall cosmetic surgeries being conducted in US, the number of males getting liposuction procedures and eyelid surgeries has been on a constant rise. In women, the trend of cosmetic surgeries has been limited to Botox and Restalyne, but in the case of men there is a huge surge in the surgical procedures like rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, male breast reduction and face-lifts.
