Apple tops customer satisfaction with overall score of 80!

Going by the 'Customer Experience Index' report from analyst house Forrester Research, Apple outstandingly tops the list of computer brands when it comes to customer satisfaction!

As per the research group's chart, Apple's overall score of 80 not only gave the company a significant lead, but also made it the only company that earned a "good" ranking from Forrester. Apple's closest rival was Acer's American label Gateway, which scored 66, and got an "okay" ranking; followed by Hewlett-Packard and Compaq, with almost similar scores of 64 and 63 respectively. Surprisingly, Dell scored the lowest levels of satisfaction, and even Microsoft scored deplorably low.

Forrester Research arrived at the results after a survey of more than 4,500 consumers in November 2008. The group questioned the users about their feelings and experience towards different computer brands, particularly about three main aspects - the effectiveness of the company in meeting their needs; the level of ease while working with a firm; and the pleasure derived from the interactions with the firm.

Explaining the reasons behind Apple's lead, the report's chief architect Bruce Temkin said in his personal blog that Apple's overall lead was 14 percent, the company managed to earn a 17 percent edge above the others due to its ease of use, and another 15 percent for contentment with respective systems.
